The GRAPHOSITE Project Partners are pleased to announce their 2nd Open Day Workshop, which is taking place in Cambridge on the 17 November 2020. The GRAPHOSITE Open Day Workshop and Exhibition will be a great opportunity to learn about the GRAPHOSITE project results, meet their partners and learn about their products and services.

The GRAPHOSITE partner, HAYDALE Composites Solutions Ltd hosted the project review meeting (Q6) on the 19th February, at their facilities in Loughborough. This was an opportunity for the GRAPHOSITE partners not only to discuss their work and shared an overview of each WP achieved results, but also to visit HAYDALE facilities and learn more about the work they are doing.

For consecutive year, GRAPHOSITE was invited to participate in the UltraMAT Open Day 2020 Workshop. The UltraMAT (www.ultramat.co.uk) is also an Innovate UK funded project, where Cambridge Nanomaterials Technology Ltd. (CNT) is one of its partners in charge of Exploitation and Dissemination.

The event took place at Murray Edwards College in Cambridge on the 30th of January. The GRAPHOSITE Project had an exhibition desk and James Essien, Project Leader from TWI gave a presentation about the GRAPHOSITE project and TWI activities. Dr Sofia Sampethai, who was formerly leading the GRAPHOSITE project, gave also a talk about her new involvement in other TWI projects.

This was a great opportunity for the GRAPHOSITE project to get the interest of other organisations in their activities.

 

 

GRAPHOSITE was invited to participate at the Nano-Carbon Enhanced Materials (NCEM) consortium meeting (joined to the Advanced Materials for Additive Manufacturing –AMAM- consortium meeting) on the 10th and 11th July 2019 at Wolfson College, Cambridge.

This consortium is run by Cambridge Nanomaterials Technology Ltd, one of the GRAPHOSITE partners who is in charge of Exploitation and Dissemination. The Nano-Carbon Enhanced Materials (NCEM) Consortium was put together in order to provide the consortium members a unique insight into nanocarbon materials such as graphene and carbon nanotubes, facilitate the commercial uptake and bring together potential users with a shared interest to address commercialisation challenges.

Dr Sofia Sampethai from TWI, Dr Nithin Amirth Jayasree from BCC and Thomas Greaves from Haydale were invited to present at the meeting. There was an exhibition desk with information on the GRAPHOSITE project. It was a great opportunity for the GRAPHOSITE project to get the interest of other organisations in their activities and in the forthcoming Open Day.

 

The GRAPHOSITE Project is delighted to announce their 1st Open Day Workshop at Robinson College in Cambridge on the 20th November 2019. This will be a great opportunity to meet the GRAPHOSITE partners, learn about their products, services and the new developments of this project. We have confirmed participation from guests coming from the following organisations: BAE Systems, BT, Schlumberger Cambridge Research, Lucideon, GoodFellow, ARUP, Bitrez Limited, BSI, MBDA UK Ltd. Rolls Royce, Prysmian Group, Versarien, Bridon Bekaert Ropes Group, Cranfield University, University of Cambridge, UCL and University of Surrey.

GRAPHOSITE was invited to participate in the UltraMAT Open Day 2019 Workshop. The UltraMAT is also an Innovate UK funded project, where Cambridge Nanomaterials Technology Ltd. (CNT) is one of its partners in charge of Exploitation and Dissemination.

The event took place in Hughes Hall College in Cambridge on the 7 March. GRAPHOSITE had an exhibition desk and Sofia Sampethai from TWI was also invited to talk about the project. Other GRAPHOSITE Partners (Haydale and DTZ Technologies Ltd) presented their organisations and talked about their general role in the project.

This was a great opportunity for the GRAPHOSITE project to get the interest of other organisations in their activities.

The GRAPHOSITE Consortium team had the Q2 Meeting on the 19th February 2019 at the TWI Offices in Cambridge.  Part of the discussions were the project participation in the Open Day of the UltraMAT Project (www.ultramat.co.uk) on the 7th March. GRAPHOSITE has been invited to give a talk and have a small exhibition at this event.

On the 22nd November 2018, the consortium of the GRAPHOSITE project met for the review of the first quarter of the project. This meeting took place at the offices TWI at Granta Park in Cambridge. Partners presented and discussed various tasks carried out since the launch of the project. The new project website and logo were also officially presented to the Project Officer.

The GRAPHOSITE project started on the 1st August 2018. The kick off Meeting was held on the 3rd September at the TWI offices in Cambridge, with the participation of the Project Monitoring Officer from Innovate UK, who gave an overview of the monitoring process. This was a good opportunity for the representatives from the participating organisations to meet and discuss the future work on the project.
